We as a group of Thomasine Christians united by the Word of Jesus that is taught in The Gospel According to Saint Thomas
Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord is One! I am a child of God. I come from God, and I have returned to God. I am essentially One with Jesus, in the Communion of The Father. I accept Jesus as my Personal Image, Whose Message is the Light of the World. I profess all these things in the name of the Father, the Son Within Us, and in the Holy Spirit, Our Mother. Amen. I am a Divine Being on earth, because I have learned the Truth. We one by one and by our own accord, have become resurrected Spirits in the Lord. Saved by our Illumination and our Brother Jesus, we have been given knowledge of our Beginnings. Glory to the Perfect Spiritual Kingdom, the Creator and His Children on Earth and in Heaven. All praise and glory to the Lord our God, who is the Father of us all! Praise and glory to the Father’s Holy Spirit, who is the Mother of us all, Now and Forever, and Ever, Amen and Selah! The Thomasine Oration, the Oration!

This is “Our Declaration” that we as Thomasine Christians do not believe in a Universal Theological Dictatorship, by Any Church, Preachers, Bishops, or Roman Catholic Popes. Instead, we rely totally on the intervention of God, who speaks to us from within, and grants us The Kingdom of Heaven, Now and Forever! Amen! The Declaration of Thomasine Belief, the Declaration!

We the members of The Gospel of Thomas Association or (The G.T.A.) are The Followers of Jesus, the Christ! We believe the Key to Salvation (Gnosis) is defined as life changing knowledge, this is the true gnosis that Jesus talks about in The Gospel of Thomas. Knowledge in and of itself does not save, but a change of heart and mind and life that comes with that true knowledge is the gnosis that Jesus preached.

The True and authentic gnosticism of antiquity always had this energy and power to it to change lives. Not all historical gnosis had this effect. Therefore, it was not true gnosticism. Jesus capped into the power source of God by offering life changing knowledge (gnosis) that transformed people’s lives. That was no doubt the attractiveness of his message, that gave a transforming experience and urgency and importance of mission to life.

Jesus taught more than mere faith to be saved but an entire change of heart and life in God the Father. In this, the true church resides, not in buildings of wood and stone, but in man’s heart and soul. Therefore, being a Follower of Jesus and having a life transforming experience is a spiritual endeavor that requires a commitment. It is a path of life that is not always easy because it requires sometimes a total change in one’s being, but Jesus calls us to this task, by being his church on earth! We are called to go beyond just being a Christian, but we are to be Living Christs on Earth!

We are the Followers of The Living Jesus, who just so happen, to accept the Gospel of Thomas as being a Sacred Scripture of Jesus, and thus truly inspired by the Father, the Mother Holy Spirit and our Brother Jesus. God’s will being done on Earth, with our Resurrection in this World, as the Kingdom has Come, but People Do Not See It! For Whoever Knows the True Meaning of His Sayings Will Not Die, but have Everlasting Life! Amen……

The Gospel of Thomas Association will soon be putting on the entire Gospel According to Saint Thomas text. This translation by the Association reflects the latest scholarship by the organization. This web-site is being built to glorify Our Lord God almighty in all things. We truly hope that it will reflect our desire to spread the wonderful news about this most wonderful text that comes from the very beginnings of the Church. It is believed by many scholars to be the closest record of what we have of what Jesus really said. There were greek fragments found of this gospel, as well as a coptic text which was discovered in its entirety in Egypt in December, 1945. By the turn of a shovel it is miraculous how The Gospel of Thomas is changing our perceptions of early Christianity inside and out! We will continue to strive to bring more people to Light, as we continue sharing The Word of Jesus.

The Gospel of Thomas Association was created on January l, 2007 by direct authorization of the Association’s Constitution. It has been authorized as a 501(c)7 non-profit organization as a social organization by the internal Revenue Service as of the date of the organization’s creation in Abilene, Texas in Taylor County, Texas. Also, The Association maintains an endowment fund to help foster the teaching objectives of the organization.

The Gospel of Thomas Association or (The G.T.A) was created to help foster understanding of this sacred text and its message. The Association was started by Jerry Wayne Macek as President of the organization and Juan Zamaripas Jr. as Vice-President, per the organizing charter and constitution.
